Rogers Applauds Trump's Speech on Military Readiness

(ANNISTON, AL) -- Congressman Mike Rogers (R-AL) made the following statement after Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump's recent speech on military readiness.

"I strongly support Mr. Trump’s commitment to rebuild our military and to destroy ISIS. His vision for our military is like that of Ronald Reagan’s. There is no investment more important than in the national security of the United States of America. Trump’s bold proposal stands in stark contrast to the weak and failed leadership of Hillary Clinton.  Deep cuts by the Obama Administration have not only weakened our military and diminished our position on the world stage, but have also empowered our enemies. Mrs. Clinton vows to carry on Mr. Obama’s failed policies if elected.  Our nation and especially our military cannot afford that.”
